28th ICOLD CONGRESS & 93TH ANNUAL MEETING

🌍 ARQ on the Global Stage – International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) 2025

Two of our colleagues, Michelle Blaeser and Henry-John Wright, are proudly representing ARQ at the 28th ICOLD Congress & 93rd Annual Meeting currently underway in Chengdu, China 🇨🇳.

Michelle presented her paper titled “Faultless Foundations Drying Up”, while Henry-John shared insights on the “Olifantspoort off-channel storage dam – critical storage to augment water supply”, and will present a second paper today addressing “Challenges experienced with upgrading a composite dam in South Africa – Tzaneen Dam raising.”

Their contributions are a reflection of ARQ’s continued commitment to excellence in dam and water infrastructure engineering. Well done to both of you for flying the ARQ flag high and showcasing South African engineering expertise on the international stage! 👏
