Brendon Blok (PrEng) is a Geotechnical Engineer who greatly contributes to the ARQ team with his experience in site investigations, geotechnical design and analysis, as well as construction/site supervision.

Brendon has gained significant experience in geotechnical investigations through his involvement in several projects in Australia, West Africa and several countries within Southern Africa. He has been responsible for investigations for a wide range of applications such as mining developments, civil infrastructure projects, residential, commercial and industrial buildings. His understanding of the full complement of investigation mechanisms allows the selection of an approach that delivers valuable and reliable information while minimizing costs.

Brendon’s design experience includes the design of lateral support, piling, retaining structures, slope stability, foundations and seepage analysis He is competent in the field of limit equilibrium and finite element analysis and regularly uses such tools as an aid in the design process.

Brendon has been responsible for site supervision and quality assurance on several projects, including pile installations, lateral support works and earthworks projects.

Through the application of theoretical knowledge and practical experience Brendon produces cost-effective and fit-for-purpose solutions for a wide range of Clients and over a multitude of geotechnical applications.
