Nelodi is a driven engineer currently advancing her expertise through hands-on experience in the design and construction of dams and hydraulic structures. While pursuing her Master’s degree in Water Engineering at Stellenbosch University, she is gaining valuable industry exposure by working on-site and collaborating with a team of specialists in the field. Her responsibilities include construction supervision, preparation of design and progress reports, tender documentation, and bidder evaluations. This dual engagement in academic and practical environments highlights her commitment to mastering both theoretical and applied aspects of water engineering.

Her technical proficiencies span various specialised tools and disciplines, including dam wall design, hydrology calculations with QGIS, and flood line determination using HEC-RAS. She has demonstrated expertise in road geometric and material design via Civil 3D, structural analysis with Prokon, and tailings dam break modelling through Flo-2D. Additionally, her knowledge extends to wave modelling with SWAN, surface mapping with Surfer8, and developing custom engineering scripts using Visual Basic in Excel.
